Barb Schmidt has studied mindfulness and meditation for over 30 years with teachers around the world including the Dalai Lama XIV, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Jetsuma Tenzin Palmo. In her 2016 workshop series, she will focus on mindful approaches to everyday living, offering practical tools for living a life of meaning, happiness and power in the midst of a world which often times is fast paced and chaotic. We are meant as human beings to learn, grow and thrive- 2016 is the year for you to “go for it” and shine.
The February workshops will share ways to deepen your spiritual life while maintaining day-to-day responsibilities. You will learn to live with a rhythm that has you feeling balanced and connected. Your spiritual life is your every day life – this is how you live the life you truly wish to have.
The April workshops will explore the foundations of kindness; describe practices to strengthen kindness towards yourself and others; and explain how to integrate compassion into challenging moments. You will learn practices of self-love and compassion that become the foundation of your life.
The November workshops will address ways to release resentment, blame, and grudges while cultivating forgiveness and healing. You will leave with practical tools for clearing away the past making room for growth and beauty in the present.
The December workshops will show you how to move away from attachment, clinging, and fear and find courage and freedom. Life is not meant to be lived on “automatic pilot,” this session you will learn practices for embracing change and opening up to all possibilities waiting for you in the present moment.
Each workshop session will be offered on two different days. You may register for an individual workshop session or purchase a workshop series of four dates.
Pricing: $36 for one workshop date or $120 for a series of four dates
